In this role you will be responsible for planning and purchasing ingredients to meet company objectives to ensure efficient and cost effective supply. Key areas of focus include global sourcing, cost management, value engineering / project management, materials planning and inventory optimization.
This position reports to the Procurement Manager.
Ideally, candidates should possess:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, or a related field
- 5-10 years senior purchasing experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, preferably in the food and beverage sector
- Experience with global sourcing and commodity purchasing an asset
- A strong business acumen and excellent communication skills
- Proven negotiation skills
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite
- PMAC or APICS certification preferred
