SunRype 100% fruit products are manufactured without nut, peanut, gluten, soy, eggs or dairy containing ingredients. If you have food sensitivities, we always recommend that you review the ingredient listing prior to purchasing any product.
Are SunRype packages recyclable?
SunRype packages are recyclable where facilities are available, however, each province may have slightly differing guidelines and we would encourage you to check with your municipality for details.
Our plastic bottles are safe for you and your family. The controversial chemical Bisphenol-A is not used as either a raw material source or an additive in the production of any of our plastic containers. A plastic bottle marked with the #7 does not imply Bisphenol-A (BPA). Rather, it is intended only to help consumers and the recycling industry for the purpose of plastic container recycling and material sorting. The #7 indicator is the recycling code used for plastics that do not fit into the #1 - #6 designations. The #7 category includes several types of plastics that do not contain BPA.
How long can you store an opened container of juice in the refrigerator?
SunRype products do not contain preservatives, therefore, the product should be refrigerated after opening. To ensure optimum taste and freshness, the juice should be consumed within a 7-10 day period.
Is it safe to consume out-dated juice products?
To ensure optimum taste and freshness, we recommend that products be consumed before the best before date indicated on the container.
How do I remove a stain from my child's clothing?
SunRype 100% juices are made with concentrates and purees from a variety of fruits and/or vegetables. Strawberry, cherry, raspberry, grape, beet, and carrot contain a natural pigment and some of our products have added natural colour. Following are a few suggestions for stain removal; however, SunRype cannot guarantee that any of these suggestions will completely remove the stain.
- Check the Care Label on clothing before attempting to remove stain.
- Treat all stains as soon as possible.
- Avoid heat (iron or dryer), it can cause stain to set into fibres of fabric.
- Try simple methods first such as sponging with cold water. If possible, try normal washing with household detergent immediately after, rinse with cool water.
- Use a Stain Remover; however, prior to using any stain remover, test for colour change on a sample of the fabric, a piece of the hem or other exposed area. Use removers sparingly and follow the use directions.
We do not recommend freezing and thawing our juice box cartons, plastic jugs, glass bottles, or cans. The cartons are not designed to be frozen and could leak once the product starts to thaw. Expansion of the freezing juice may compromise the seal integrity of the container.
What should I do if the carton is bloated or leaking?
If the carton appears bloated, the product should not be consumed. It is clearly an indication that there may have been some damage to the carton seal. Any compromise to the seal integrity allows air to enter, the carton to expand and juice may leak out.
Why does the apple sauce container have ridges and grooves? Could you not use a smooth container?
The plastic container was designed to hold up to the pressure of "hot-filled" sauce. Indentations are necessary to maintain the rigidity and integrity of the plastic. The smooth walled plastic packages you may be familiar with (such as peanut butter) are cold-filled and do not need to withstand the same temperature fluctuations.
